What customers say?

“ Amazing hidden gem! The coffee tastes sooo good and perfect. I love the different flavours they have. Love to sit at the back and chill while drinking my coffee. I am from Toronto and wish I was closer to visit this place often. Only downside is they close early and sometimes I cant get afternoon coffee here. ”

“ This might be the best butter tart I've ever had, and I couldn't resist having it a second time. A quiet local cafe with a hidden oasis in the backyard. We've been here before, and this was the second time we came from Toronto on a sunny August day, and we enjoyed working and reading. ”

- Chloe -

“ I love it here. Good coffee, great butter tarts and friendly staff. I just wish they closed a bit later, but we always stop for coffee here anytime we're in Sutton and can catch them while they're open. ”

- Amira Z -

“ We often stop here for coffee on our Sunday cycling route up to Jackson’s Point The interior isn’t much, but the backyard has a great seating area with a beautiful pond to look over Not to mention there’s also a cycling rack to put your bikes on, which is great for cyclists stopping by The butter tarts are also the best I’ve ever had To be honest, all the pastries at Black River are sooooo tasty ”

“ Freshly made café Americano & Cappuccino. Delicious rich coffee Nice little spot to unwind. Hid away in the back is a quaint set of tables & a seasonal outdoor deck ”

- B MacDonald -

“ We prefer coffee drinks made fresh and with a proper espresso machine so saw this on the map near where we were staying (Sibbald Point PP) and gave it a try. The iced coffee tasted burnt but the cappuccino was ok - though that’s the first time I’ve been given one in a paper cup and a plastic lid when dining in. The restaurant inside was clean but I wouldn’t call it cozy. Watch out if you have little ones with you because there are bagged tea products on display that have quite vulgar names. Your mileage may vary here… maybe it’s better on other days… ”

- Karl Peterman -

“ If your in that hour line waiting for that morning coffee at Timmies take that 2 minutes drive and have a real coffee with absolutely amazing service, no line, fresh food and baked good. The best part is the best kept secret in town. The grounds and patio. You oew me one for this. Send me a great place like this. Cheers Enjoy and please keep it clean. ”

- Ilan Shingait -

“ Appreciate the beautiful outdoor space and the welcome for all the bicycles. Washrooms could be bigger. Would like faster service . My latte was delicious. ”
